14th ASTHRDP Graduate Scholars’ Conference

The Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI), in partnership with the National Science Consortium, will conduct the 14th ASTHRDP Graduate Scholars’ Conference on 17–18 of September 2026 at the Grand Xing Imperial Hotel, Iloilo City. Carrying the theme “Science and Technology that works for the people”, the conference will feature plenary sessions, as well as oral and poster presentations.

This year’s conference is hosted and chaired by University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV), with University of Santo (UST) as co-chair.

The Accelerated Science and Technology Human Resource Development Program (ASTHRDP) is a scholarship program of the Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) that supports Master’s and Doctoral studies in science and technology fields. Implemented through the National Science Consortium, the program aims to develop highly skilled researchers, scientists, and educators who can contribute to national development and innovation.

NSC Member Universities

The National Science Consortium (NSC) is composed of eleven member universities: Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), Central Luzon State University (CLSU), De La Salle University (DLSU), Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD), University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), University of the Philippines Manila (UPM), University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV), University of San Carlos (USC), University of Santo Tomas (UST-M), and Visayas State University (VSU)

The ASTHRDP Graduate Scholars’ Conference serves as a platform for scholars, faculty members, and mentors to connect, exchange insights on recent developments in science and technology, and showcase their research outputs.

UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES VISAYAS
