Dr. Carl Abelardo Antonio is Professor of Health Administration and the incumbent Director of the National Graduate Office for the Health Sciences at the University of the Philippines Manila. He has over a decade of academic and field experience in public health systems, program evaluation, and service delivery in low-resource settings. He has led and contributed to assessments of health programs in the fields of infectious diseases, mental health, and governance of local health systems in the Philippines. Dr. Antonio also chairs the Public Health Ethics Committee of the Philippine Department of Health, and serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Public Health and Archives of Public Health. He holds an MD and MPH from the University of the Philippines Manila and a PhD from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
